Pray for Noah Duble!
The details are still sketchy but the what we do know is frightening. Please cover little Noah Duble in prayer tonight!
The whole family is out of state right now, and Noah apparently had some sort of accident -- possibly hitting his head -- while swimming. He was taken to the emergency room unconscious and on a respirator. The last report we received was that they had cleared out his breathing passages, but he was still unconscious and his lungs were full of water. His condition and prognosis are very, very uncertain.
Pray that God would be working in Noah's body through every person that touches him. Please pray for strength, active peace, and miraculous faith for every member of the Duble family, for freedom from fear, from guilt, and from doubt. Pray that God would grant a true and deep belief when we pray, with pregnant repetition, "Thy will be done."
Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,
for in you my soul takes refuge;
in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge,
till the storms of destruction pass by. . . .
God will send out his steadfast love and his faithfulness!
Psalm 57:1, 3

Elissa, thanks for posting this. They were unable to resuscitate Noah. He was 4. Here is the note that Nielson sent out to Covenant faculty and staff:
Brothers and sisters:
I am very sad to have to report to you that Noah Duble, 4-year-old son of Troy and Sarah Duble, died earlier this evening as a result of head injuries suffered in a lakeside accident. The Dubles have been vacationing in New Hampshire.
Please keep the Duble family in your prayers. We’ll pass along further details as they are available.

Thanks, Derek, we just heard as well. At our church prayer meeting tonight, we prayed specifically that the children of the church would grow to know and love Jesus. Now Noah knows Him better than any of us. May God give His people tender hearts to share the Duble's pain.

Elissa, there is a lot of prayer in Iowa going out for the Dubles right now. Just wanted you to know we were joining you in that. Eric Duble is my pastor now at Cono and I am of course greatly grieved for the Duble family in Chattanooga and for the rest of the Rock Creek family. I will keep you all in my prayers.
