Covenant's First Professor Portrait Gallery
As promised long ago:

The accompanying press release:
“Gang of Four”
A Portrait Exhibition
In the tradition of pop artists and propaganda posters,
these portraits capture the far-reaching, revolutionary essence
of our four longest-standing English professors.
See Foreman, Barker, Hesselink, and Wildeman,
each represented as the cultural icons you always knew they could be.
Come. Be dazzled.
(While you’re there, meet with a Writing Center tutor for all your
brainstorming, drafting, revising, organizing, and editing needs.)
The Writing Center.
Sanderson 119, by the vending machines.
Almost more culture than you can handle.

How much do you charge for prints?

I'd like to see a series on History profs (Voskuil, Austin, Morton and Green). I'd pay handsomely for prints (well, not really but I'd buy them if they were affordable). Maybe you could work out a deal with the Alumni office to sell limited edition prints?
I used to work in the Writing Center when I was at Covenant (despite being a non-English major). Pat R. ran it then...do you now?

what a happy sight! i do delight in opening the door nowadays to see wildeman and hesselink, and then eventually barker and foreman, regarding me with approval, as if to say, "yes, weary student; welcome home."
but in a more distanced, pop-culture sort of way.
also, your blue laptop makes me happy.

I don't know . . . Dr. Wildeman looks to me like he's saying, "so, back again are you?"

If you're serious, you can give this a try. No guarantee on quality, though it is a 300 dpi image scaled to 11x14. Maybe this can fund us for grad school. Ha. I kind of want to do boxed sets of greeting cards.
Scott, I would *love* to paint Dr. Morton as a Warhol icon! Maybe I should talk to the alumni office... Oh, and Dr. Wildeman is now in charge of the Writing Center and I'm under him. I take care of the day to day operations, supervise tutors, and do some tutoring myself. Also, I paint.
